LINDY PS/2 Keyboard & Mouse Extender (Transmitter and Receiver units)

Overview

Extends PS/2 signals over distances up to 100m. Consists of a transmitter and receiver unit which are connected by long length Cat5e/6 cables. Connectors (on each unit). Transmitter unit: 2 x PS/2 plugs for connection to your computers keyboard and mouse ports; 1 x RJ-45 socket. Receiver unit: 2 x PS/2 sockets for connecting your keyboard and mouse; 1 x RJ-45 socket. Completely passive operation, does not require any power to operate. Dimensions (WxDxH): Transmitter: 330 x 210 x 242mm. Receiver: 492 x 430 x 215mm. This compact extender allows you to use standard, low cost CAT5e/6 cable to extend a standard PS/2 keyboard and mouse at distances of up to 100m. Simple to install, the extender consists of a local transmitter unit which connects to your computer and a remote unit for connection to your keyboard and mouse. The extender uses balun technology to convert PS/2 signals for use over patch cables, or your structured cabling system. Typical applications include operating computers from within non-secure environments (use in conjunction with the VGA extenders).
